T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
