We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
