Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
