In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
