The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and so am I: 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
