And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
