Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
