The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
