The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
