To Moses we also revealed: 'Set forth with My worshipers by night and strike for them a dry path in the sea. Do not fear that you will be overtaken, neither be afraid' 77 Then Fir'awn followed them with his hosts; and there came upon them of the sea that which came upon them. 78 And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them]. 79 O ye Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a Covenant with you on the right side of Mount (Sinai), and We sent down to you Manna and quails: 80 "Partake of the good things which We have provided for you as sustenance, but do not transgress therein the bounds of equity lest My condemnation fall upon you: for, he upon whom My condemnation falls has indeed thrown himself into utter ruin!" 81 Yet I am All-forgiving to him who repents and believes, and does righteousness, and at last is guided.' 82 ۞ "But, O Moses, what has made you come in haste from your people?" 83 Moses replied, "They are just behind me. I came earlier to seek Your pleasure". 84 The Lord said, "We tested your people after you left them and the Samiri made them go astray." 85 Then Musa (Moses) returned to his people in a state of anger and sorrow. He said: "O my people! Did not your Lord promise you a fair promise? Did then the promise seem to you long in coming? Or did you desire that wrath should descend from your Lord on you, so you broke your promise to me (i.e. disbelieving in Allah and worshipping the calf)?" 86 They said: We broke not tryst with thee of our own will, but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk, then cast them (in the fire), for thus As-Samiri proposed. 87 and made a calf for them, a figure that lowed. "This," they said, "is your god and the god of Moses but whom he has forgotten." 88 Could they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good? 89

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
