It is He who has made the earth submissive to you. Walk about in its land and eat of His provision. To Him is the Resurrection. 15 Can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you up when, lo and behold, it begins to quake? 16 Do you feel secure that the One in heaven will not send against you a whirlwind to pelt you with stones, so that you will know how [true] My warning was? 17 Those who went before them belied [the truth]: then how great was My rejection of them. 18 Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything. 19 Who is there to defend you like an army, besides the Lord of Mercy? Those who deny the truth are in deception. 20 Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion. 21 So is one who walks inverted upon his face more rightly guided, or one who walks upright on the Straight Path? 22 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He it is who gave you being, and hath assigned unto you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 23 Say, “It is He Who has spread you out in the earth, and towards Him you will be raised.” 24 They ask: 'When will this promise come, if you speak truthfully' 25 Say thou: the knowledge is only with Allah, and I am but a warner manifest. 26 But when they will behold it proximating sad will be the countenances of those who disbelieve, and it will be said: this is that which ye have been calling for. 27 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If Allah destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His Mercy on us, - who can save the disbelievers from a painful torment?" 28 Say: "He is the Most Gracious: we have attained to faith in Him, and in Him have we placed our trust; and in time you will come to know which of us was lost in manifest error." 29 Say to them: “Did you even consider: if all the water that you have (in the wells) were to sink down into the depths of the earth, who will produce for you clear, flowing water?” 30
