Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
