The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
