The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in outstretched columns. 9
