Elucidated (Fussilat)

54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ha, Meem. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 A Book whose signs have been distinguished as an Arabic Koran for a people having knowledge, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have a reward never to be cut off. 8
