And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 To your heart that you may be a warner 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. 222 Who listens to you; but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
