In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
