Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
