He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 You pay full attention, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 exalted and purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 his mother, his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing and full of joy, 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
