The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
