The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
