Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the glorious morning light; 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
