And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 Fear God and do not shame me." 69 They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?" 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 it is still there on the highway -- 76 Verily there is a Sign in this for the believers. 77 Certainly the dwellers in the Thicket were evildoers, 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
