۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
