Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 from which you are turning away. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except those among them who are Your sincere worshipers' 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
