Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
