The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
