(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease for me my task 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 By him confirm my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 That we may exalt You much 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
