Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allah)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us. 43 We allowed them and their fathers time to enjoy till the very end of their lives. Do they not see Us advancing into the land, reducing its frontiers? Would they still prevail? 44 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I warn you only with the divine revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call when warned.” 45 But if just a breath of your Lord's punishment were to touch them, they would say: 'Woe for us, we were harmdoers' 46 But We shall set up just balance-scales on Resurrection Day, and no human being shall be wronged in the least: for though there be [in him but] the weight of a mustard-seed [of good or evil,] We shall bring it forth; and none can take count as We do! 47 To Moses and Aaron We granted the criteria of discerning right from wrong, and We gave them the light and a reminder to the pious ones 48 These who fear their Lord unseen, and who are of the Hour fearful. 49 And this is a blessed Reminder which We have revealed; will you then deny it? 50
