The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
