Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised the height thereof and ordered it; 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 on the Day that man remembers what he strove for 35 and the blazing fire [of hell] will be laid open before all who [are destined to] see it. 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 and preferred the worldly life, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask you: "When will the Hour be? When is its time fixed?" 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 Your Lord alone knows when it will come; 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 The day when they will see it, it will seem as if they had not stayed on earth except for an evening or its morning. 46
