The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
