Prostration

Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
