The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O, you, wrapped in your cloak, 1 Arise, and warn. 2 and magnify the glory of your Lord, 3 cleanse your clothes, 4 And all abomination shun! 5 And do not favour others in order to receive more. 6 Exercise patience to please your Lord. 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 and to whom I have granted resources vast, 12 and sons standing before him, 13 To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give yet more! 15 Never! For he is an enemy to Our signs! 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 May he be condemned! 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he looked round; 21 frowned and scowled; 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 And said: "This is nothing but the magic of old, 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 Soon I will cast him into hell. 26 What could make you conceive what hell-fire is? 27 It leaveth naught; it spareth naught 28 Scorching the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen keepers. 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire. We have specified their number only as a trial for those who are bent on denying the truth, so that those who were given the Book might gain in certainty, and those who believe might increase in faith -- and so that neither those who have been given the Scripture nor the believers might have any doubts, and that those sick at heart and those who deny the truth might ask, "What does God mean by this parable?" In this way, God lets go astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. And none knows the forces of your Lord but He. This is but a Reminder for man. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
