Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
