Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
