We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
