S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
SAD. I CALL to witness the admonishing Qur'an. 1 Verily those who disbelieve are in vainglory and schism. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 They wondered that a warner had come to them from among themselves, and the deniers of the Truth said: “This is a sorcerer, and a big liar. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 Was the message sent only to him out of all of us?" In fact, they doubt My warning; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 And (the tribe of) Thamud, and the folk of Lot, and the dwellers in the wood: these were the factions. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
