Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
