Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),- 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
