Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
