The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
