The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to the stinters who, 1 who, when people measure for them, take full measure, 2 Whilst when they measure or weigh for them, give less. 3 Do they not think that they will be resurrected 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Indeed! The record of the wicked is in the Sijjin -- 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed. 9 Woe on that Day unto the beliers 10 Who give the lie to the day of judgment. 11 None denies it but the sinful transgressors. 12 When Our revelations are recited before him, he says: "These are fables of long ago." 13 No indeed! Their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts. 14 No indeed, on that Day they shall be veiled from their Lord. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 and who will be told, "This is what you had called a lie". 17 Indeed the record of the virtuous is in the highest place, the Illiyin. 18 What could let you know what the 'Illiyoon is! 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 witnessed by those who are near (to Allah). 21 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, 22 On couches, gazing, 23 Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine, sealed, 25 its seal is musk, for this let the competitors compete; 26 and its mixture is Tasneem, 27 a spring at which those drawn close to God will drink. 28 Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. 29 When passing by them, they would wink at one another 30 and, on returning to their people, boast about what they had done. 31 And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost." 32 though they were not sent to be their keepers -- 33 But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers 34 Regarding them from their cushioned seats. 35 Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? 36
