The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the bright forenoon, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
