Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
