O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah; that ye may (really) prosper. 130 And save yourselves from the fire which is prepared for disbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 And those who, when they commit an immoral act or wrong themselves, remember Allah and seek forgiveness of their sins – and who forgives sins except Allah? And those who do not purposely become stubborn regarding what they did. 135 Those! their meed is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens whereunder rivers flow; they shall be abiders therein. Excellent is the hire of the workers! 136 Divers institutions have passed away before you; journey in the land, and behold how was the end of those that cried lies. 137 This is a declaration to the people, a guidance and an admonition to the cautious. 138 Do not be discouraged or grieved. You alone will have true dignity if you only are true believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast? 142 You certainly wished to die (for the cause of God) before you actually faced death. Then you faced death (in the battlefield and only a few of you had the true desire to die). 143
