The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
