Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned. 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
