3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
