Say: 'Who will guard you, by night and by day from the Merciful' But no, they turn away from their Lord's remembrance. 42 Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us. 43 We have been providing these men and their fathers with the means of enjoyment for a long time. Have they not ever considered that We populated the earth and then caused many of the inhabitants to pass away? Can they have any success (in their wickedness)? 44 Say: 'I warn you only by the Revelation'; but they that are deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 Were only the slightest whiff from your Lord's punishment to touch them, they would cry out: "Woe to us; we were indeed wrong-doers." 46 We shall fix the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, so that none will be wronged in the least; and even if it were equal to a mustard seed in weight We shall take it (into account). We are sufficient for computation. 47 Surely We had granted to Moses and Aaron the Criterion (between right and wrong), and Light and Admonition for the good of the God-fearing, 48 Those who fear their Lord without seeing Him, while they are afraid of the Hour. 49 And [like those earlier revelations,] this one, too, is a blessed reminder which We have bestowed from on high: will you, then, disavow it? 50
